4 Steps for Success at Cali Auto Auction

Be Prepared

Being prepared for a car auction is crucial to ensure a successful and satisfying experience.

Start by doing thorough research on the vehicles you're interested in, including their market values, history reports, and any potential issues.

Set a budget and stick to it to avoid overspending in the heat of the moment. Attend the auction preview to inspect the cars physically, and if you're not well-versed in automotive mechanics, consider bringing a trusted mechanic or friend along.

Understand the auction rules, and have cash ready for a deposit or the entire purchase with your identification ready.

Inspect The Vehicles

Arrive Early for the Auction Preview:

Obtain a vehicle history report. It can reveal important information about accidents, title status, and more.

Inspect the Exterior:

Look for signs of damage, rust, or paint discrepancies. Inspect the tires.

Inspect the Interior:

Check the upholstery, dashboard, and controls for wear and tear. Ensure all
features and functions work properly.

Start the Engine:

Start the engine and listen for unusual sounds, like knocking or rattling.
Check for warning lights on the dashboard.

Check Under the Hood:

Inspect the engine bay for leaks, loose wires, or other issues. Look at the
fluid levels and the condition of belts and hoses.

How To Bid

Pay Attention to the Auctioneer:

Listen carefully to the auctioneer's descriptions and announcements. They provide essential information about each vehicle, including vehicle condition and any known issues.

Bid Confidently:

When you're ready to bid, raise hand confidently. Be aware
of your competition and avoid hesitating when you want to bid.

Be Mindful of Auction Fees:

Understand the auction processing fee of $300 is added to the winning bid.

Bid Responsibly:

Remember that you're committing to purchase the vehicle if your bid is successful. Ensure you have the necessary funds and can meet any
other requirements.

Know the Auction Rules:

Familiarize yourself with the specific rules and procedures of the auction you're attending. Different auctions may have unique guidelines and policies.

How To Pay

Once you win a bid , you are responsible to pay a cash deposit or pay the entire winning bid plus the auction fee to the cashier.

You can pay the entire amount one hour after the auction ends, or up to 24 hours later (except on Saturday auctions - We know banks are closed on Sunday's and allow an extra day)

Payment will only be accepted in cash.

Bring a government id along with you so paperwork can be created in your name. Once you have paid off the remaining balance of the vehicle, the staff will bring the vehicle out to you, so you may drive it home.
